Ragi idyappam is a traditional breakfast dish made with finger millet flour dough and is a popular dish in South India. The ragi flour dough is pressed through a mold into string hoppers which are then steamed and enjoyed with curries & chutneys.
Incorporating whole grains into our diet is a very good choice and ragi (finger millet) is a much healthier option especially for those who are diabetic as it helps in controlling blood sugar levels. It is also a great source of dietary fibre, complex carbs and proteins that keep you satiated.
Recipe Ingredients:
1 Cup Ragi flour (finger millet flour)
1 Cup Rice flour
3 Cups Water
Salt as required
